2022 APPROPRIATION BILL:ABIA LAWMAKERS PASS BUDGET OF N147.7B

Members of the Abia State House of Assembly have passed one hundred and forty-seven billion naira for the services of government for the year ending 31st December, 2022.
The budget, which was passed on Thursday, is tagged “Budget of Economic Recovery Through Industrialisation”.
It is made up a recurrent expenditure of 66.8 billion naira 30, representing 45 per cent of the budget, whereas the capital expenditure component is nearly 81 billion naira, representing 55 per cent of the total budget.
Plenary was subsequently adjourned till January 31.
