Members of the People’s Democratic Party Caucus in the House of Representatives have called on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign over the insecurity plaguing Nigeria.
They accused the president of failing to stop kidnappers, bandits, and terrorists who extract ransom from the poor and impoverished citizens, and turn homesteads, villages, towns, and cities into killing fields.
Leader of the caucus, Kingsley Chinda (PDP/Rivers State), made the call in a statement issued on behalf of the opposition lawmakers.
The caucus said it is saddened that the President who famously boasted of leading from the front is now missing in action.
