The House of Representatives has mandated its Committee on Healthcare Services to investigate the non-functionality of the Primary Healthcare Centres in the country and report back within four weeks for further legislative action.
The resolution was based on a motion unanimously adopted at the plenary.
A member of the House, Sergius Ogun, moved the motion, while noting that the Primary Health Care Development Agency was established to, among other things, stimulate the technical development of primary healthcare centres on an equitable basis in all local government areas in the country.
